Gee Money is dead. The Baton Rouge rapper was shot and killed as he was leaving a studio session. The bullet hit him in his head and the person who shot him got away. Gee Money was beefing with fellow New Orleans rapper, NBA Youngboy. The incident reminds us that rap beef can get serious, a lesson we should have learned from Biggie and Tupac.
The incident occurred on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 1:30 AM. The rapper, whose real name is Garrett Burton was only 22-years-old. Gee Money was focused on his craft. Long nights in the studio is what it takes for rappers to take their careers to the next level. Investigators will definitely be taking a long look at NBA Youngboy’s potential involvement.

Chicago and New Orleans are two of the most dangerous cities in the world and the violence is often connected to each city’s hip hop industry.
