Miami loves Trina! On episode 8 of Love and Hip Hop Miami‘s first season, “Real Talk” we see the rapper, whose real name is Katrina Taylor, honored with “Trina Day.” She has done major charity work throughout the city and deserves her own day.

Trina recently started dating her best friend, Raymond Taylor.  She’s currently 39 and doesn’t have any kids.  Janet Jackson proves that it’s never too late so Trina still has 10 years to have a baby.

Trina’s $6.5 million net worth was earned through her career as a rapper.  She rose to fame in 1998.  She was 20-years-old and appeared on Trick Daddy’s www.thug.com album.

1978-1997

Trina was born Katrina Laverne Taylor on December 3, 1978 in Miami, Florida.  She grew up in Liberty City, the neighborhood Trick Daddy is from.  She met Trick at Charles R. Drew Middle School.

Trick and Trina both attended Miami Northwestern High School.  Trick put the school’s band in the video for his 2000 single, “Shut Up.”

1998-2017

As a teen, Trina fell in love with music and would spend her free time writing rhymes.  In 1998, when Trick asked her to appear on his album, Trina was more than prepared and delivered an unforgettable verse.  The song led Trina to sign a deal with Slip-n-Slide Records and she released her first album in 2000.

2018-Present

It has been two decades since Trina appeared on Trick Daddy’s second album and she’s still the baddest chick in the game.  Trina paved the way for Nicki Minaj and Cardi B yet she doesn’t receive the recognition she deserves.

“Nann” Remix

“Nann” is the song that Trina used to introduce herself to the world.  Her and Trick Daddy were a match made in Heaven when it comes to music.  Trick starts the track and delivers two classic verses but Trina’s verse takes the song to another level.  Trina recently teamed up with Molly Brazy for the “Nann” remix:
