Hollywood Life reports that Instagram has been crashing for tons of users. It’s not only people in the United States, people around the world are experiencing problems with the app. Numerous users have turned to Twitter to voice their unhappiness with the app. Many of those users have blamed Facebook for the problems.
According to Down Detector, the photo-sharing app has been having problems since this morning. The issue proved to be hashtag-worthy. As soon as the app started crashing the hashtags “instagramcrash” and “instagramdown” started trending on Twitter. The company posted a statement advising users to reinstall the app. I did so, but I’m still experiencing the same problems.

- Restart your device
- Update the app to ensure that you’re using the latest version
- Log out of the app on all your devices
- Disable then reenable your Insternet connection
- Uninstall and reinstall the app
If none of the above tips work, it’s them, not you. As you may know, Facebook acquired the company in 2012. Since then, they have implemented numerous changes. The app is not working because they are most likely implementing yet another change. Give it some time. They never take more than 2-3 days.
